The Libertarian
After 28 hearings, held for 4 months, the Sixth Court Judgement by Judge Magda Hidalgo, located in the city of Puerto Ordaz, Guayana union condemned the Rubén González penalty of 7 years and 2 months in prison for supporting a work stoppage at the company Ferrominera, located in Ciudad Piar.

Upon hearing the sentence, made around 6 am and 30 pm on Monday 28 February, the union said "I'll be in jail, but I did what I had to do. " The defense presented 70 witnesses since November 3, 2010 since the trial began in earnest, every one on the legitimacy of the work stoppage for debt and breach of collective bargaining, Caracas peaceful strike and the continuing attitude peaceful union leader at all times promoted mediation with employers to satisfy workers' demands.

The Libertarian has been following the case of Ruben Gonzalez, a case has been reported nationally and internationally, promoting the solidarity of the anarchist organizations. For us, / as, is a case that naked and anti-authoritarian character of the Bolivarian government. The sentence against Ruben Gonzalez is a clear message against workers in the country, particularly against core business Guayana, to desist from fighting in the streets for their rights.

Gonzalez is also an example of state policy against the criminalization of popular protest, which is executed by the prosecution and the courts, the Ombudsman, the state media and community media as false and ANMCLA Aporrea.

From The Libertarian like to express our words of encouragement and solidarity to Reuben Yadith (his wife) the Gonzalez family and all Town employees Ferrominera Piar. We also join the call at a rally in front of the Attorney General's Office for this mirécoles March 2, 2011, at 10 am, to reject the sentence against Gonzalez, against militant trade unionism and against the right to strike in Venezuela.
